Chlorodifluoromethane (R22) is used as pure or in mixture for refrigeration (medium-high temperatures). It is also a blowing agent for extruded polystyrene and polyurethane foams and a component in sterilant gas mixtures.
It will be replace by R134a (1,1,1,2 tetrafluoroethane).

Tetrafluoroethane (R134A) is used as a blend component for refrigeration. It is also a propellant for aerosol and a blowing agent for extruded polystyrene foams.
It replaces the CFC R12 (dichlorodifluoromethane) and in few years the HCFC R22 (chlorodifluoromethane).

It's a mixture of Chlorodifluoromethane (R22) and chloropentafluoroethane (R115). It finds major applications in Commercial refrigeration systems and mobile air conditioning.
